Georgia's Paddock was planted in 1975 on broken-down Cambrian basalt about 300 metres above sea level; it faces mainly west and is grown without irrigation. Two hectares of Nebbiolo were added in 1991. Fruit is destemmed and hand sorted, fermented with natural yeasts and matured in French and Austrian oak.\n\nThe 2025 opens with the classic burst of rose, then dark cherry and ripe red currant. Bold, firm tannins build through the palate, finishing with oak spice and a smoky, flinty note. A Heathcote take on Nebbiolo rather than an imitation of Piedmont.
