For the 2023, fruit came from two sites on the family's vineyard: one on the traditional flood plain, giving richness, dark fruit and soft tannins, and one on lighter soils off the flood plain, giving lifted florals, purple colour and firmer structure.\n\nEach parcel had one to two days of cold soaking, then seven to eight days on skins in small open fermenters with some whole berries, before 18 months in three-year-old French oak barriques. It was bottled without fining or filtration. Deep purple, it offers violets, mulberry and spice, with a plush mouthfeel and fine tannins.
