Vintage Conditions
2021 was very challenging year from a viticulture perspective with the weather elevating disease pressure in the vineyard early in the season. Summer was moderate to cool which allowed for good slow ripening which led to acid and fruit retention. Early April brought a week of warmer days to help ripen fruit in a timely manner.
Wine making
20% Barrique fermented and aged for 5months, 80%
Stainless steel fermented.
Tasting Note
Potpourri, lime and rose water on the nose with fresh acidity on the palate that follows with lime and granny smith fruit on the finish. A Riesling that will develop nicely with some age.
