RESCHKE 2020 VITULUS CABERNET

Vitulus is a wine which is not ‘oaked’ but is barrel matured. We aim to have the roundness and length derived from time spent in oak but not to interfere too much with the complex and obvious fruit characters that are the hallmark of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon.

It has yielded wines with ripe plummy fruit and strong but with soft approachable tannin's. Cellaring will add to the wines complexity and persistence

Color: Darkest crimson and viscous when swirled
in the glass.

Nose: Dark berry fruit with nuances of blackberry, blueberry and classic Coonawarra mint. These are complimented by vanilla and charry oak characters.

Palate: Sweet black currant, blackberry and dark chocolate flavors up front and stalky, savory notes on the finish. The structure is firm and full bodied almost sweet texture coming
from a lengthy time in barrel.
