Tasting note

Clase Azul Reposado is the tequila that comes in the hand-decorated ceramic decanter with feathered brushstrokes of cobalt blue. It was the first of the Mexican house's icons and is still its signature creation: a reposado rested for eight months in American whiskey casks.

In the glass. Pale gold with golden highlights, and a medium to full body.

Nose. Cooked agave and agave nectar lead, followed by candied orange peel and toasted wood, with hazelnut, clove and vanilla in the background.

Palate. Agave nectar and ripe orange peel, then toasted hazelnut and a little bittersweet chocolate, closing on a spiced finish of cinnamon and clove.

How to enjoy it. Sip it neat or over one large cube so the cask spice has room to show. Clase Azul pairs it with semi-firm or smoked cow's milk cheese, pancetta, orange, red apple and corn, which makes it an easy match for a grazing board. More from the house is in our Clase Azul collection.

Delivery information

Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.

Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.

We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.

Case minimums

Some products are sold only in cases of three, six or twelve. Where that applies it is stated above the add to cart button, not discovered at checkout.

Cases ship as a single carton. The per-case price shown includes every bottle in the case.

CLASE AZUL MÉXICO

Clase Azul México is born from Mexican culture, tradition and artisanship; from the landscapes and authentic expressions that inspire our country’s artisans to imagine unique creations: exquisite spirits, precious objects, immersive experiences and destinations that will leave you breathless.

The EMBLEM

Our emblem represents the
soul of Clase Azul México and is present in all that we do; it adorns our products and distinguishes our destinations around the world.

Its circle represents our transformative spirit.

Its leaves are symbols of nature, which provides us with the invaluable resources that allow us to give form to our exquisite creations.

The Artisans

Artisanship of the highest quality is fundamental at Clase Azul México. As a result, we have dedicated ourselves to cultivating a deep respect for the extraordinary

work of our artisans and strive
to develop and implement practices and policies that ensure their personal and professional development.

Additionally, we seek to keep the legacy of their artisanal work alive and to help conserve their culture so that it may be passed down to future generations.

The Tequila

Tequila, made exclusively from Blue Weber agave (Agave tequilana var. azul), is the quintessential Mexican spirit. Its cultural importance and presence on an international level led it to be granted the protection of a Mexican denomination of origin in 1974.

The journey of our tequila at Clase Azul México begins in Los Altos de Jalisco—a region in the Mexican state that witnessed the birth of this spirit—where the elevation, type of soil and climatic conditions impart certain properties to the agave which give our spirits their unique profile.
