The Cooper's Choice Dailuaine 11 Year Old Port Finish Scotch Whisky
The Cooper's Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland's finest distilleries are releases from the Family owned Independent Bottlers; The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The range is a homage to the passion and skill of the Coopers, the craftsmen, who build the barrels for maturation of Scotch Whisky. The range focuses on the impact of maturation in oak, and includes several obscure and rare wood finishes.
This single cask bottling of Speyside single malt distilled at the Dailuaine distillery was initially matured in an American Oak cask before being finished in a single ex-Port wood cask, adding a plenty of fruity notes to the rich and spicy Dailuaine malt spirit. Few single malts can handle the level of fruitiness that a Port cask can add as well as Dailuaine. The rich and meaty malt is the highlight here, with layers of strawberries and plums from the cask on top.
Nose: Delightful notes of redcurrants, maple syrup and port wine.
Palate: Rich and robust with strawberries, juicy sweet malt, forest fruits and baking spices.
Finish: Good length with more sweetness and porty fruits.
The single cask (#305101) produced only 354 bottles, with the Australian allocation being 12 bottles.

Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended unless you have given an authority to leave.
