Tasting note
Castarède, founded in 1832, is the oldest négociant house in Armagnac, and for more than three decades it was led by Florence Castarède, the sixth generation of the family. This Cuvée Cigare is her idea: a 25 year old Bas-Armagnac made for cigar lovers, from someone who long held that a good Armagnac and a good cigar were natural companions.
It stays in oak until bottling, with the bottling date printed on the back label, and is bottled at 44% in a 50cl bottle that comes in a presentation case.
Colour. Light amber and gold, clear, with topaz highlights.
Nose. Rich but subtle, with verbena, orange blossom and cherry kirsch, drifting towards mint at the end.
Palate. A lively first sip, rich and intense, opens on almond, then brings fresh tobacco with yellow and vine peach. The finish lasts, melting slowly into candied mandarin and prune, and the empty glass still smells of warm prune and fresh herbs.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
