Tasting note
Pour this one cold and the maple does the work. Sortilege is a Canadian whisky blended with Quebec maple syrup, and at 30 per cent it sits lighter than a straight rye, closer in weight to a liqueur than to a full strength whisky. The texture is the point: viscous and glossy, sweet at the front, with the grain showing through underneath rather than being buried.
Over a single large ice cube is the simplest serve and the one most Australian drinkers land on. It also stirs into hot coffee on a cold night, and it makes a straightforward maple old fashioned: use it in place of the sugar syrup, add two dashes of aromatic bitters, stir over ice and twist an orange peel over the top. Poured over vanilla ice cream it behaves like a sauce.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
