Tasting note
Chateau du Cedre Marcel is a straight malbec made by the Verhaeghe family at their organic estate in Cahors, south west France.
Cahors is malbec's original home. The variety was grown on the Lot long before it reached Argentina, and the wines here are darker and firmer, with more tannin and a savoury, iron-edged character rather than plush fruit. The Verhaeghe family have made wine in the Lot since the 1950s and the estate is certified organic. Marcel is their everyday cuvee, bottled as an IGP rather than under the Cahors appellation.
Serve at cool room temperature with duck, sausages, lamb or a cassoulet.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
