Tasting note
Darroze Domaine de Sarrade 1978 is a superb vintage: deep fruit and spice complexity balanced with freshness and long maturation. Ideal for enthusiasts who appreciate vintage Armagnac with clarity of terroir and refined, powerful expression.
Color: Attractive amber with golden tints.
Nose: First impression is pungent fruit brandy, mirabelle plums, purple plums. As it opens, the aroma deepens with spicy notes of licorice, clove, and vanilla.
Palate: Intensely fruity and spiced pepper and fruit character dominate. Surprisingly youthful for its age, with a long, warming finish.
