Tasting note
This single vintage armagnac from 1985 is labelled Cépages Nobles, or noble grapes, a reference to the Folle Blanche and Colombard it is distilled from. It comes from Domaine Boingnères, a small estate the same family has worked since 1807, now across six generations.
Colour. Deep and fairly intense.
Nose. Very fine and broad: peach, grape, apricot and melon, with darker chocolate beneath, a little wood, plum and marzipan.
Palate. Dry and fruity yet sweet, light and dark at the same time.
Most of the estate's roughly 50 acres of vines are planted to Folle Blanche, a demanding grape. Its continuous alembics run without stopping through a 20 day distilling season, often at strengths as low as 52%, so the spirit needs no reduction before cask or bottle. It is matured in French oak in a small barn on the property, some casks for many decades as here, with no caramel and no chill filtration.

Delivery information
Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
Case minimums
Some products are sold only in cases of three, six or twelve. Where that applies it is stated above the add to cart button, not discovered at checkout.
Cases ship as a single carton. The per-case price shown includes every bottle in the case.
