Tasting note
Dos Maderas is a rum finished in sherry country by Williams & Humbert of Jerez. The rum itself starts in the Caribbean, in Barbados and Guyana, and this PX expression is aged in three stages.
First come five years in the Caribbean. The rum then spends three years at the bodega in Jerez in casks that held Dos Cortados palo cortado, which on its own is the Dos Maderas 5+3. For this bottling it goes on to a final stage in casks that aged Don Guido, a Pedro Ximénez sherry of more than 20 years. The producer gives the finished rum a minimum average age of 10 years.
Tasting. Dark amber. Fig and raisin at first, then rich, ripe fruit on the palate, with tropical spice, sherry, a hint of smoky oak and a touch of tobacco leaf.
The PX casks make it rich and sweet, so the bodega suggests drinking it neat, alongside chocolate, or in classic rum cocktails. Bottled at 40%. More in our dark rum collection.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
