Tasting note
Sixteen years old and bottled at 57%, Mandamus is one of Foursquare's Exceptional Cask Selection releases from Barbados. It blends pot and column distilled rum and matures it in two kinds of wood: ex-bourbon casks first, then port casks.
How to drink it. This is a sipping rum. Pour a measure neat, give it a few minutes, then add water a few drops at a time to find the strength that suits you. Compare it with other releases in our Foursquare Rum collection.
Nose. A rush of dark and red fruit: blackberry, tart plum, cherry and ripe pineapple, then sultanas, vanilla and caramel, with ginger and a nutty hint of hazelnut and walnut.
Palate. Softer and sweeter than the strength suggests. Juicy black cherry, raspberry and Victoria plum, more sultanas and a touch of orange zest.
Finish. Long, toasty and gently smoky, with bitter chocolate and black tea, white pepper, a flicker of chilli warmth and a firm grip of oak.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
