Tasting note
Giselle is Nosferatu's dessert gin, made to taste like the base of a pavlova: meringue, cream and a caramelised crust, without the fruit on top. It takes its name from the ballet Giselle, which Anna Pavlova famously danced.
How it is made. The starting point is Nosferatu Blood Orange Gin, built on Albanian juniper, fenugreek and the distillery's three-stage orange infusion and distillation. Once distilled, the gin is infused with vanilla, burnt sugar and a double cream essence, and it is produced in small batches.
Tasting. Delicate and creamy, with vanilla, meringue and toffee leading to a burnt-sugar crust on the finish.
Serving. Sip it straight, or add a light tonic and a fresh strawberry; soda water can stand in for the tonic. Like any pavlova it wants fruit, and a little fresh acidity balances its sweetness. Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
