Tasting note
A Peruvian pisco made entirely from the Quebranta grape, Macchu Pisco is the flagship of the brand Melanie Asher and her sister Lizzie founded in 2006. It is distilled in copper pot stills, takes around ten pounds of grapes for every bottle, and rests for a year before it is bottled at the estate.
Nose. Light and delicate: vanilla, lime peel and white pepper.
Palate. White pepper and vanilla sugar, with lime, yuzu, cinnamon and a mineral, wet-stone note. Herbal, grassy and earthy touches run underneath. It ends on a peppery bite and a short, clean finish.
How to drink it. The obvious first pour is a Pisco Sour. The Macchu Pisco version shakes pisco with egg white, simple syrup and fresh lemon juice over ice, strains it into a coupe and finishes with a few drops of bitters. New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
