Tasting note
Fleeting R is a limited, individually numbered bottling from Michel Couvreur, the whisky house at Bouze-lès-Beaune in Burgundy. The label describes it as a four casks whisky, and it is bottled at 49% in a 500 ml bottle.
The house began with Michel Couvreur himself. Flemish by birth, he trained in the Burgundy wine trade in the 1950s and moved to Scotland in the 1960s. From the late 1970s he selected spirit there and brought it back to Burgundy to age in his own cellars.
Those cellars are cut into the rock about 15 metres underground, where the humidity stays high and constant and maturation is slow. Couvreur fills casks that once held fine wines or sherry from Andalusian bodegas, moves its whiskies by gravity rather than pumping, and does not chill filter them. New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
