Tasting note
Only 345 bottles were made of this second edition of Eldorado, "the Golden One", the Bakery Hill single malt matured in Australian sherry barrels, known locally as apera. Every bottle carries its own number and comes with production notes and a collector tasting card.
The unpeated Bakery Hill Classic spirit went, after its second distillation, into a Seppeltsfield apera cask from the Barossa Valley for 18 months, then into an American oak ex-bourbon cask for close to three more years. The distillery describes the result as an interplay of French and American oak.
For this edition it turned up the intensity and brightness of the sherry cask influence, aiming for a rich, lively and complex single malt. It is bottled at 55%; the distillery says a few drops of water may help, and time in the glass certainly will.

Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
