Compass is an overproof white rum from Compagnie des Indes, the independent French bottler renowned for seeking out rare and characterful rums from across the globe. Distilled in the Dominican Republic from pure sugar cane juice, it is bottled unaged at a robust 51.2% ABV.
Overproof white rums like Compass are prized behind the bar for the way their higher strength carries flavour and stands up in a cocktail. This is a rum built for mixing, cutting through tiki builds, daiquiris and punches where a standard white rum can be lost.
