Tasting note
Domaine Jacques Tissot Arbois Pinot Noir Grande Reserve is a red from Arbois in the Jura, eastern France.
The Jura sits between Burgundy and Switzerland and is best known for its oxidative whites and for the local red varieties poulsard and trousseau. Pinot noir has been grown here for centuries too, and Jura pinot tends to be lighter, higher in acid and more savoury than its Burgundian equivalent, which is exactly why it has a following. Arbois is the region's principal appellation and the town where Domaine Jacques Tissot is based.
Serve at around 15 to 16 degrees with poultry, mushrooms, charcuterie or Comte.
