Tasting note
Mezcal Vago bottles the work of a few family mezcaleros in Oaxaca, and this Espadín comes from Don Joel Barriga, a third generation distiller who works with his sons at Tapanala, high in the Sierra Sur. His palenque stands on the ruins of an old hacienda, below a natural spring.
How it is made. Espadín agave (A. angustifolia) is roasted for three to four days in an earthen oven, crushed with a stone tahona and left to dry ferment in wooden vats before the spring water is added. It is then distilled twice in copper pot stills heated by a wood fire. Don Joel takes a slightly deeper distillation cut, and like all Vago it is a clear joven with no additives.
Tasting. The brightest, most fruit forward style in the Vago line up: honey, grilled pineapple, caramelised banana and lime.

Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
