Tasting note
A spiced rum that has been filtered clear, so it behaves like a white rum in the glass but carries the flavour of a spiced one. Lychee is the note that leads, with grapefruit and passionfruit behind it and the spice sitting underneath rather than on top.
That combination makes it a mixing bottle first. In a tall glass with soda and a squeeze of lime the lychee comes forward and it reads almost like a flavoured spirit. With ginger beer it goes drier and spicier. In a daiquiri it replaces both the white rum and part of the sugar, so cut the syrup back to ten millilitres.
It is also the more interesting half of a pair: the gold expression from the same producer runs to orange, honey and ginger, and having both covers most of what a home bar needs from spiced rum. Distilled in Mauritius, 40 per cent, 700ml, and it sits with the Gold on our Spiced Rum shelf.

Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
