Tasting note
Byrrh's story begins in the nineteenth century with Simon Violet, who blended Roussillon wines, flavoured them with aromatic plants and added quinquina bark. The Byrrh name was registered in 1873, the house grew around its cellars at Thuir, and the brand went on to inspire some fifty years of striking poster art. Grand Quinquina is still made to that late nineteenth century recipe.
Style. A generous, port-like base of wine and mistelle carries a firm backbone of natural quinine, and the result is fruity and refreshing.
Serving. Behind the bar it can take the place of sweet vermouth in a Negroni, and it pairs well with grapefruit, gin, vodka, tequila, cognac and Irish whiskey. It is just as good on its own, with tonic and a twist, or alongside blue cheese. Find more in our aperitif collection.

Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
