Tasting note
ABC is Guillaume Drouin's apple take on vermouth, made by the Christian Drouin family house, and it opens with an intense bouquet where apple meets spice.
How it is made. After several years of trials he brought together the methods used for Pommeau de Normandie and those of vermouth. Apple must is matured with a young calvados and aged in oak barrels, then flavoured with a bouquet of plants and spices including quinquina, mugwort, cinnamon, orange, elderflower and yuzu.
Serving. Pour it over ice with a slice of orange, lengthen it with tonic, or stir it into cocktails in place of a sweet vermouth.
