Tasting note
Fico is the prickly pear liqueur of Casa Limonio, based at Partinico in Sicily. It was the second liqueur the house made, after its lemon liqueur, and Casa Limonio describes it as the first prickly pear liqueur produced in Sicily.
How it is made. The fruit is the blood-red sanguigna variety of prickly pear, Opuntia ficus-indica, infused to draw out its flavour. September is the peak month for production.
Serving. Casa Limonio serves it chilled, either with dessert or as an aperitif alongside a cheese board: mixed cheeses, blue cheese, foie gras and caviar all appear on its list. More fruit liqueurs are in our fruit liqueur collection.

Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
