Tasting note
Luxardo Original Maraschino Cherries in a 400g jar, made by the Luxardo family at Torreglia in the Veneto.
Luxardo grows its own Marasca cherries, in what the company states is the largest cherry orchard in the European Union, and candies them in marasca syrup. They are not bleached and dyed the way a supermarket cocktail cherry is, so they stay dark, firm and only lightly sweet, with a real sour-cherry bitterness underneath. Girolamo Luxardo founded the firm in Zadar in 1821 and it moved to Torreglia, near Padua, after the Second World War.
One cherry finishes an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan. Keep the syrup and use it in the drink.
Delivery information
Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
