Pintail Panama XO Rum 14 Year Old
The Pintail brand was originally established by Matthew Gloag and Sons in the 1930's for bottling their dry sherries. After the trademark was allowed to lapse it was picked up by Keith Bonnington (Keeper of the Quaich and owner of The Whisky Cellars Independent Bottlers) to create a range of spirits and wines. With a focus on unusual bottlings, and whiskies finished in rare (and often sweet) wine casks, the Pintail range is built around a focus on extremely limited and desirable bottlings.
"Purveyors of Precious Wines & Spirits" is the tagline, with a focus on "precious"!
The Pintail 2008 14 year old XO Rum is a single cask bottling from an undisclosed Panama distillery. Big, rich and lively!
