Tasting note
Part of the Stillman's Selection series from Sakurao Distillery in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, this single malt was built by the distillery's stillman, who tasted through Sakurao's sherry casks and chose the best of them for the vatting. Two types of cream sherry hogshead went into it.
Sakurao's warehouse stands by the sea. Warm wind comes off the Seto Inland Sea, cool air drops down from the mountains, and the wide gap between summer and winter temperatures makes the spirit mature quickly.
Colour. Dark amber with a deep red tinge. Nose. Raisin and cacao, with a faint hint of the nearby sea. Palate. Dark cherry and orange fruit over a light touch of peat. Finish. Woody, deep and bittersweet.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
