Tasting note
Togouchi whiskies are made at the Sakurao Distillery in Japan's Hiroshima region, where the same company also runs a brewery. This bottling brings the two together. The whisky is aged in bourbon casks, then finished for three months in sake casks sent straight from the Sakurao brewery. Those casks had a history of their own: the house matured its junmai sake in oak that had previously aged white wine at Japanese wineries. Bottled at 40%.
Colour. Golden.
Nose. Estery and fruity, with a light fruit scent.
Palate. A mellow sweetness like brown sugar, which the wood finish brings, set against gentle acidity from the white wine and sake.
Finish. Mellow, keeping that balance of acidity and sweetness.

Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
