Tasting note
Kopke 40 Years Old Tawny is the house's oldest regular age-statement tawny, from a Douro port shipper founded in 1638.
Forty years in wood strips a port back to its bones. The colour is amber going on olive, the fruit has reduced to concentrated fig, date and dried orange, and the texture becomes almost oily, with the very dry, very long finish that only decades of oxidative ageing produce. Kopke can bottle at this level because its stocks of old wood-aged port go back further than almost any other house in the Douro.
Serve lightly chilled, in a small glass, after a meal. Nothing on the plate is required.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
