Tasting note
This is a traditional poiré, the pear equivalent of cider, from Fournier in Normandy, made with pears the company grows in the region. It draws mainly on fruit from around Domfront, a blend of sweet and sharper varieties.
It is made the old way, with maceration and successive fermentations. Expect a fresh, fruity drink with lightly cooked pear on the nose, and a palate where fruity sweetness meets a refreshing acidity.
Serving. Pour it well chilled. It is made for warm evenings and sits comfortably with salads, grilled food, cheese, seafood and desserts, and it can add a fruity twist to a cocktail. More ciders and poirés are in our cider collection.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
