Tasting note
Fouesnant is a semi-dry cider from Manoir du Kinkiz, made purely from fermented apple juice using a blend of old apple varieties from orchards in the Pays Fouesnantais. It comes from a family with a long cider-making tradition.
Tasting. Valued for its bitterness and round texture, with lingering notes of fresh apple, hazelnut and fresh butter.
How it is made. The apples are harvested and sorted by hand and pressed once fully ripe, between late September and December. Fermentation is slow and finishes naturally in the bottle over around two and a half months, which gives the cider its fine bubbles.
