Volcanic Cane is a limited edition from the Haitian house Barbancourt.
Distilled in 2008, this rum is produced by distilling pure cane juice as a base. For this expression, the distillery only worked with one variety of cane. This is the endemic variety of the island of Haiti nicknamed Madame Meuze.
This rum has benefited from a long aging in old French and American oak casks of cognac and bourbon. After these 15 years, it underwent a specific refinement. This finish was done in casks that previously contained a peated whisky from the Isle of Islay.
This edition is limited to 4850 bottles worldwide.
