Tasting note
Clase Azul describes its Añejo as a tribute to its own making: the years-long journey from agave to finished tequila. It is made from blue Weber agave, slow cooked, and rests for more than two years in American whiskey casks, which gives it its harmonious character.
Colour and body. Deep copper with intense golden highlights. Full bodied.
Nose. Oak comes first and it is intense, followed by orange marmalade, apple preserves, roasted hazelnut, cardamom and clove.
Palate. Candied orange peel, nutmeg, cinnamon and black pepper, then a long, silky finish of toasted spice.
With food. The house matches it with creamy, tangy cow's milk cheese, beef, green apple and zapote. The rest of the range is in our Clase Azul collection.
Delivery information
Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
