Tasting note
Gabriel Boudier has been making liqueurs in Dijon since 1874. After the Second World War ended, it became one of the few French gin specialists when it won the contract to supply gin to the American army in Europe. This Olive Gin is one of its own creations, built around black olives from Nyons, which carry a protected designation of origin.
How it is made. Six botanicals are each distilled separately in the family's copper still: juniper, Nyons black olive, coriander, angelica, iris and sweet orange peel. Each distillation gives a concentrate, which Boudier calls an alcoholate; the six are blended and brought down to 40% with water.
Nose. Delicate olive, backed by juniper and citrus.
Palate. Juniper arrives first and fresh, the olive follows with quiet intensity, and it finishes clean and dry.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
