Tasting note
Distillerie Metté in Alsace makes this apple eau de vie from a mix of apple varieties picked in autumn. The fruit ferments naturally, is double distilled in copper pot stills, and the spirit is then aged in stainless steel tanks. It is not chill filtered, it is crystal clear in the glass, and it is bottled at 45%.
Nose. Rustic, with cider and fresh juice.
Palate. Gourmand, with the pastry notes of an apple pie.
Finish. Gentle and long.
Metté recommends a tulip glass and a serving temperature of 13°C. It suits the end of a meal or a dessert. More clear fruit spirits are in our eau de vie collection.
Delivery information
Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
