Tasting note
Alvear Vermut is a Spanish vermouth made at Montilla in Andalusia by a bodega founded in 1729.
Most vermouth starts from a neutral base wine. Alvear's advantage is that it does not have to: the house works with Pedro Ximenez in Montilla-Moriles and has centuries of solera-aged wine to draw on, so the base carries oxidative depth before any botanicals go near it. Vermouth is one part of a range that also runs to finos, amontillados, olorosos, sweet PX and brandy.
Serve it over ice with a slice of orange, the way vermut is drunk in Spain, or use it in a Negroni or a Manhattan.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
