Tasting note
Christian Drouin's XO is a Calvados Pays d'Auge made from four kinds of cider apple: bitter, bittersweet, sweet and sharp. It is double distilled in copper stills and aged in small casks that have been used before, some of them former wine casks. Part of the blend has also spent time in casks that once held fortified wine or brandy, which adds sweetness and complexity.
Colour. Golden.
Nose. Dense and rich: baked apple and tarte tatin, touches of almond and spice, then a subtle rancio as it opens.
Palate. Supple and soft, fruity at first, then moving towards vanilla and more woody notes.

Normandy is too far north for wine grapes, so it distils apples instead.
Delivery information
Most orders to New Zealand leave within 2 to 7 business days depending on the item. If anything is delayed we will tell you.
New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
