Tasting note
Le Père Jules is a Normandy family house with four generations of producers behind it since 1919. It makes Calvados Pays d'Auge, pommeau, cider and perry from apples and pears grown in traditional high-stem orchards inside the appellation areas. This is its Pommeau de Normandie AOC.
How pommeau is made. Fresh apple must is blended with Calvados, which halts the fermentation, and the blend is then matured in oak. The appellation rules ask for at least 14 months in wood after blending; this bottle has spent more than five years there. The method has a close cousin in Pineau des Charentes.

Normandy is too far north for wine grapes, so it distils apples instead.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
