Tasting note

The Draam is Isle of Raasay Distillery's signature single malt, introduced in 2021, and its name is a playful Raasay twist on the Scottish word for a measure of whisky. It was created to emulate an older style of Hebridean single malt. Master Distiller Alasdair Day devised a six-cask recipe: peated and unpeated Raasay spirit are each matured separately in first fill American rye whiskey casks, fresh Chinkapin oak casks and first fill Bordeaux red wine casks, then the six components are married together. Every drop is distilled, matured and bottled on the island, using mineral-rich water from the distillery's own well. Honey gold with red wine hues, it balances light, fragrant peat smoke with rich dark fruit and warming spice. Bottled at 46.4% with natural colour and no chill filtration.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.

Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
