Tasting note

Old Perth takes its name from a blend first bottled in 1908 by the Thomson family, grocers in the Fair City of Perth. The brand was later revived by the Morrison family, formerly of Morrison Bowmore Distillers, who blend sherry-matured malts under the name today. Limited Edition #2 is the second Pedro Ximenez release in the series. Five Speyside malts, chosen for their robust spirit style, were fully matured in first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry butts and hogsheads, then bottled at cask strength of 54.3% with natural colour and no chill filtration. Expect sticky dates and overripe grapes with warming ginger and cinnamon on the nose, then a palate like sticky toffee pudding coated in molasses, with cinnamon spice lingering on the finish.
