Tasting note
Fernando de Castilla Antique Amontillado is an old dry sherry from the bodega's soleras in the Barrio de Santiago, Jerez de la Frontera.
Amontillado starts life under a veil of flor and finishes in contact with air, and the Antique bottling has spent more than twenty years working through that sequence. The wine that comes out is dry and concentrated, deep amber, with the hazelnut and dried orange peel character that only long oxidative ageing produces. Jan Pettersen, who bought the house in 1999, bottles the Antique wines in small quantities with minimal filtration.
Serve lightly chilled. It is a natural match for jamon, aged Manchego, mushrooms or a clear beef consomme.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
