Tasting note
Fernando de Castilla Antique Fino is an old, bone-dry Fino sherry from the bodega in the Barrio de Santiago at Jerez de la Frontera.
Most Fino is bottled young. The Antique version is around eight years old, which is a long time to keep a wine under flor, and the extra years show as a deeper, more savoury Fino with far more weight than the style usually carries while staying completely dry. It is fortified to 17% and, like the rest of the Antique range, handled with minimal filtration. Jan Pettersen has owned the house since 1999 and built it on wines like this one.
Serve it properly cold. It stands up to more than an aperitif: try it with grilled prawns, jamon or a hard sheep's cheese.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
