Tasting note
Fernando de Castilla Antique Oloroso is an old, dry oxidative sherry from the family bodega in the Barrio de Santiago at Jerez de la Frontera.
Jan Pettersen has run the house since 1999 and built its reputation on the Antique range, a set of small-volume, minimally filtered wines drawn from the bodega's oldest soleras. The Antique Oloroso is around twenty years old. Oloroso is fortified above the level at which flor can survive, so it ages in contact with air rather than under a veil, which concentrates the wine and darkens it to mahogany. The result is dry despite its depth, with the walnut and old-wood character that long oxidative ageing gives.
Serve it lightly chilled with hard cheese, jamon, consomme or roast game.

New Zealand orders travel by tracked international post. The cost is calculated at checkout. The free delivery threshold offered in Australia does not apply to New Zealand orders.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. Orders may attract New Zealand customs duty, GST and clearance fees on arrival. Those costs are set by New Zealand Customs, are payable by the recipient, and are not collected by Liquor Wine Cave.
Once your order is confirmed you will receive a shipping notification with a tracking reference. Larger or mixed orders sometimes travel as more than one parcel, and you will get tracking for each.
Alcohol can only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over. The courier may ask for photo ID and will not leave your order unattended. We do not offer authority to leave on alcohol orders.
We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers.
