Tasting note

Distilled at Ardnamurchan on 7 February 2018 from unpeated barley and bottled in February 2026, this seven-year-old spent its whole maturation in a single sherry cask. It is bottled at cask strength, 56.5%, without chill filtration or added colouring. Finn Thomson chose the cask for its balance. The sherry brings dark fruit, gentle warming spice and toasted nuts, with added richness and texture, while the distillery's bright orchard fruit and coastal freshness stay clearly in view. It is a composed, mature whisky for its age, and it sits in Finn Thomson's Core Collection of hand-selected single casks. Ardnamurchan distillery stands on the remote peninsula of the same name on Scotland's west coast. Finn Thomson Whisky is an independent bottler launched in 2022 by Finn Thomson, the ninth generation of a Perthshire whisky family.
