Tasting note

Distilled at Longmorn on 30 April 1991 and bottled in August 2025, this 34-year-old single cask spent its long maturation in a combination of ex-bourbon oak and a PX sherry cask. It is bottled at its natural strength of 53.7%, without chill filtration or added colouring. Longmorn has a special place in the Thomson family story: Finn's grandfather Michael named it, alongside North British grain and Macallan malt, as a key part of the family's Beneagles blend, prized for its reliable fruitiness. Here that trademark fruit is lifted by PX sweetness, with tropical fruit, rich honey, soft spice and polished oak. It sits in Finn Thomson's Rare Collection, reserved for single malts aged at least 30 years. Finn Thomson Whisky is an independent bottler launched in 2022 by Finn Thomson, whose family traces its whisky story to 1772 at Grandtully in Perthshire.
