Tasting note

Triple Wood is the entry point to The Glenturret's core range and the first single malt in the distillery's annual release. It brings together American oak and European oak sherry-seasoned casks with bourbon barrels, each adding a layer of sweetness, vanilla or spice while the distillery's fruity new make spirit stays at the centre. The 2025 release opens with vanilla and toffee apple, followed by barley sugar, malt and light oak, with cinnamon and ginger cake adding warmth. Lighter fruits and gentle wood spice carry through to a soft, sweet finish. The Glenturret sits at The Hosh near Crieff in Perthshire and dates its story to 1763, which it says makes it Scotland's oldest working distillery. Bottled at 45%, it works neat, over ice or in a simple long serve.
